Kickball

Mom had her last kickball game tonight, so I decided I should go along to cheer her on.

My favorite restaurant, Bar Abilene (duh), is the sponsor of the team & I really wanted a matching uniform.  But, mom said they didn't come in my size.  Thankfully she decided to try & be 'crafty' & made me my own special shirt so I could feel like part of the team.

I must be the best cheerleader...because they won!
(from what Mom tells me, that hasn't happened before - you're welcome Mom)

Block Party

Tonight was National Night Out and there was a block party on our street.  It was fun to meet some of the neighbors and especially fun to see my new across-the-street neighbor, Audrey.  She just a little baby right now (only 5 months old), but I can tell we'll be great friends.

I spent some time showing my car off to the neighbors.  It was hard work & I obviously broke a sweat.

My favorite part of the night was hanging with my favorite neighbors, the Topps.  They've known me since I was a tiny baby & I think they are super fun.  Maybe someday they will have a friend for me to play with...hint hint. :)

We didn't party for too long, it was way too hot for that.  Can you tell I was a little warm from my red cheeks??

Fountains

Mom & I went to the zoo on Friday with my friend Addy & her Mom.  I was FINALLY big enough to play in the fountains.

It was such a hot day, so crawling around in the water & chasing the fountains was very refreshing.

My favorite part was getting super close to when the water went away...then running away when it sprayed out!

I can't wait until I've mastered walking & running.  I bet the fountains will be even better then!

Backyard

After spending a fun day with Oma, I was expecting a low-key night at home.  But I was wrong!  After dinner, Mom & Dad thought it would be fun to play with my fort in the backyard.

It is so cool.  It has a slide & a door & I can climb on it!

It took me awhile to realize that it is much easier to go down the slide than climb up it.  And it's way more fun.

I love nice summer nights playing in the backyard!

Twins

I went to my 2nd Minnesota Twins baseball game today, and this time, our seats were SO good!  We went with Henry & his parents and sat in the Legends Club.  Look!

I let Henry borrow my Twins hat for the game because I dont like to keep it on my head.  He decided it would look better sideways...I didn't have the heart to tell him that he looked kind of goofy.

It was a fun game, even though the Twins lost.  Daddy even showed me how to keep score.  Too bad I can't read yet...but someday, I'm sure it will come in handy.

Mom, Dad & I had such a fun Sunday at the ballpark!  I can't wait to go back again soon!

Snacktime

This week I mastered crawling!  Life is so much more amazing when you can move on your own.  This morning I was getting a little hungry, so I decided to crawl over to the cabinet and see what I could have for a snack.

First, I checked out the Puffs...but them remembered that I think they are gross.

Next, I thought maybe I was in the mood for a bottle of formula, but I couldn't figure out how to open the bin.

Finally, I remembered that we went to the store this week & got apples.  They are one of my favorite foods, so I thought they would make a great snack.

Mom put a little cinnamon on the apples today.  They were so yummy!!  I wonder where I will crawl to tomorrow??

Cabin

This weekend Mom, Dad & I took our first trip this year to Oma & Grandpa's cabin!  I've only been there on other time when I was itty bitty, so I don't remember much of it.  But I can tell you this...it's such a fun place!

I rode in my 'Big Girl' car seat in Daddy's car on the way there.  It is so comfy & I also had my Monkeys to keep me company.

We got there pretty late on Friday & I had to get ready for bed right away.  Though I did have a few spare moment to practice my crawling skills.  I still only go backwards.

Saturday was full of fun.  I decided I would celebrate the fabulous time I was having by showing of something new...clapping!

That afternoon, Oma & Daddy went to lunch, so Grandpa & Mommy thought we should go outside for a walk.  I was so excited when i saw that I didn't have to ride in a stroller, but in a wagon instead!  Grandpa said he bought it a few years ago just waiting for a moment like this...

I loved the wagon!  Even though it's May and was pretty hot last week (in the 80s!) it was very cold outside.  Grandpa was nice enough to let me borrow a hat.  Of course it was Hunter Orange...we were in Wisconsin after all!

Saturday night was bath night, but Mom & Dad didn't bring my duck tub.  I thought maybe they wanted me to be smelly...until Oma showed me that her sink made a perfect tub!

I loved splashing in the bubble & playing with the water from the faucet.

Almost as much as I loved the hairdo that Oma gave me after I was done!

I had such a fun time at the cabin in Cumberland.  I'm so excited to go back again & see what else there is to do!
